How credits work.

Credits are prepaid AuthForge usage on your account. Your customers buy licenses from you, not credits. You pay only for real auth traffic.

Each license-key validation costs one credit. Triggered on launch, on entitlement check, or wherever your app asks "is this user allowed in?"

Heartbeats keep a session alive and detect concurrent use. Ten pings on the same license bill as one credit, so you can ping frequently without burning balance.

Do unused credits expire? +

No. Credits stay on your account indefinitely once purchased. There is no monthly burn or rolling expiration. Buy a top-up when balance gets low and use it whenever traffic shows up.

Can I share credits across multiple apps? +

Yes. Every application you register sits under a single account-level credit pool. Whether you ship one product or twenty, validation and heartbeat traffic all draws from the same balance. There's no per-app fee.

What counts as a credit? +

A successful license validation costs 1 credit. Heartbeats are billed at 10 pings per 1 credit, so a 15-minute heartbeat interval (4 pings/hour) costs roughly 1 credit per 2.5 hours of session time. Failed validations and rejected heartbeats are free.

Do failed validations cost a credit? +

No. If a key is invalid, expired, banned, or fails any other security check, the request is rejected without consuming credits. You only pay for traffic that actually returns a positive answer to your app.

What is the refund policy? +

Refunds for unused credit balance are available subject to the terms in our refund policy. The short version: we'll refund unused balance on request within the documented window. See /legal/refund for the full terms.

Do you offer custom or volume pricing above 1 million credits per month? +

Yes. The published tiers go up to 1,000,000 credits at $0.15/1k. Above that, contact us for a volume contract; we routinely negotiate custom rates for high-traffic SaaS, gamedev, and enterprise rollouts. Email pricing@authforge.cc.

Is annual prepay available? +

Yes. If you'd rather buy 12 months of expected traffic up front and avoid top-up admin, contact us. We invoice on net-30 terms for accounts that prepay annually, and the credits land on the same account-wide balance.

Can credit balance auto-refill? +

Yes. Settings → Credits lets you configure a low-balance threshold that triggers an automatic top-up of a chosen pack size. This keeps your apps from ever stalling on a depleted balance.
